I had the problem last year, but this year it seems twice as bad. I think the bullet nose is getting hung up on the truinion block. I did notice that some magazines caused the jams more than others mags. I have a buffer in the rifle and i'm going to remove it and try again this weekend. But i did not have the buffer in last year and i still had the problem. The rifle does not jam when i pull the trigger as fast as i can (nice way to finish the last 30 rounds on every visit to the range)

Ak's don't really have feeding problems. Mags shouldn't affect it. Maybe your trunnion missed a step in manufacture, ammo feed cuts? Dunno, but keep us up on what happening. cya

I have a pre-ban Norinco AK. I had two types of ammo (one was headstamp 31/92), 3 30 round mags, and 2 5 round mags. When i slow fire at a target i would get about 1 jam out of 5 rounds fired. The round would have the nose starting to go into the chamber while the end was still in the magazine. the bolt would hit the case in the middle, denting the case and also bending the case. I also would have jams where the nose of the round would not go into the chamber and the bolt would shove the bullet into the case. What is causing the rifle to not feed the round into the chamber. i tried different magazines and i had problems with all of them. i also tried different ammo with no luck.

Has the rifle fed OK in the past,or has it always had this problem?

Is the ammo you are shooting hollow pointed, most norinco's ive used jam while shooting hollow points.

If it was a buffer tech buffer, toss it, they are junk. Have caused more problems than solved. I had the same problem, tossed it, my probs went away. cya

Problem has been solved. i removed the buffer and all the problems went away. I think the problem was the bolt and carrier could not go all the way back with the buffer installed. i have not had any problems using the buffer in any other AK including the .308 Yugo models. My Norinco is just a little picky i guess. On the subject of HP ammo, I personally never use HP. i think they suck. I like the current production Wolf FMJ and i have lots of old steel core i shoot once in a while.
Thanks
