Local gun shop has excellent condition Rom. for $175.And norinco for $200.Are those prices decent.The norinco bayonet lug was cut off did they have to do that to all imported?

Those are OK prices if they are in excellent condition. VG at least on the Romanian. SKS prices fluctuate quite a bit depending on where you live too.

Only Chicom SKS imported after the assault weapons ban had the lugs ground off. There's a ton of ones available with bayo and lug. For an interesting dicussion on that go to the BATF post on the SKS forum at the AK net.

I agree an Exc condition Romo would be the better of the two buys, what date was on it BTW? A 1957 in exc are harder to find then other years IMO and would be on my buy list.

Jump on the Romanian if you can. Theres a guy at the local gun show with 4 in VG condition at $269.00 ea. I want another bad but I cannot part with that much money for one of these yet.
