Here's the deal. I'd like to purchase a large capacity electronic scale with both a battery and an AC adapter. A manual trickler(for now) needs to be easily set up either on it or next to it. I'm going to use it to verify loaded rounds as well. Both gram and grain readings preferred. The two choices so far are the Dillon Terminator and the RCBS Pro.
Which one did you purchase and why, even if not one of these? If you remember where you found the best deal it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the Pact BBK (Balance Beam Killer)
Pact makes this scale for some of the other brands, RCBS, Hornady, etc..
I got it direct from Pact for $89 shipped.

I have a PACT DPPS which will not operate on batteries. I also have an RCBS Powder Pro with the infra-red port and the electronic powder dispenser that goes with it (best used as a trickler).

I later found out that PACT makes all the RCBS electronic scales and the electronic powder trickler. Usually you can get the PACT for less than the one marked with the RCBS name.

If you work up your own loads frequently and interested in extreme accuracy, be sure to get a scale with the infra-red port so it can be used with the electronic trickler. There is nothing quite like having EVERY round topped off to the exact same amount of powder.

Don't know if this link will work:

http://www.pact.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=specials

but you can get the BBK on sale directly from PACT right now for $89.95. That's about $25 cheaper than I've seen anywhere else.

You'll also want to pick up a set of check weights. Electronic scales are good but can drift several tenths of a grain with temperature, etc.. The check weights let you know how close the scale is after calibration and during use.

The Dillon scales are probably also built by PACT.

Check out this site just for comparison. I have not been highly impressed by most of the overpriced reloading scales.
