Greetings all.
Just got a pso 4x scope for our Saiga .308
and I need to adjust the focus. Has anyone done this? How did you do it?
Great board. Interesting people. Stay armed.

Welcome aboard Martin! Unfortunately you don't focus the PSO scopes. The reticle is so micro thin it is hard to focus on it at first, it gets easier the more you use it, trust me. Looking through the scope indoors is extremely hard to focus on the reticle. Once you get it outside and start looking at your targets at a distance you will figure out how to adjust your eyes to work with the scope. Like I said, you will get used to it very quickly, and you'll learn to like it a lot. It may just take a few eye tricks to get the hang of it.
Good luck,

Dear Martin-After suffering through my PSO-1 with an ignorant gunsmith,I learned a few things about the PSO-1 scopes.Rotating the deflection turret clockwise moves your groups to the right and counterclockwise moves groups to the left.Turning the elevation turret clockwise raises the point of impact and visa versa.Be SURE that your scope is cammed for the caliber of rifle you are using. Most importantly, never rotate the two set screws for each range dial more than two revs out!If you do,you WILL lose zero!My gunsmith kept boresighting my scope and when I reset the range dials ,I would lose zero!In frustration,I used the net and became enlightened! So if you sight in at 100 yards, loosen the two set screws for elevation less than 2 revs, hold top of turret and CAREFULLY reset range dial to 1.You would reset your deflection range dial to zero the same way.And of course, ensure your scope is tight! My .02 worth! http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/smile.gif-Gearhead.

Thanks for the replies.
The reticule is very sharply focused,
it is the IMAGE thats blurry. I need to
focus the eyepeice as I would on a pair of
binoculars.
Thanks for the tip on the drum setscrews.
