sar-3 bakelite mag won't fit gun

I just got a new sar-3 and the bakelite mags that came with it will not fit! Need help.

First... I would suggest you RUN, don't walk, to InterOrd & get several of their 223 Weiger mags - they fit & function perfectly in a SAR3...

Now - the bakelites. As you insert them, examine the TOP BACK of the mag - see if it's hitting the cross support before it latches. See WHERE it is doing this.

If it is hitting, the cross support OR mag may be LIGHTLY filed until the mag latches. I have a SAR2 that does this - and I elected to file the MAGS, since they are cheap. Others choose to file the cross support.
