Talk about getting screwed....

My ffl found a guy that had Makarovs. He negotiated to buy all he had.
Well they arrived yesterday, BUT they weren't Maks they were PA-63s. He called the guy rather upset( needless to say) the guy said he had them listed in his computer by caliber, So he thought they were Maks.
This guy deals very little with surplus according to my ffl. ???

He knocked an additional $5 a piece + he's going to eat the shipping charge for my ffl to keep 'em.
I told him I would send them back, if it was me, but he's going to keep 'em.

This is a small shop in a small town in Ga., and he's got 50 pa-63s.
I'll wait for the 2 for 1 sale.

BTW, He also got some Silver Bear 120 gr. HP ammo in.
We decided to see if it would fit in a PA-63 mag (we were bored).
I'm glad we did. The nose of the SB hangs up on the Mag release catch hole(???).
We had to pound the mag on a table to get it unstuck.
We tried several other mags, same results.

PA-63 mags and Silver Bear 120 gr. HP arn't compatable:(

Barnaul 95 gr. and CCI Blazer FMJ worked fine.

Let us know when he decides to download these pistols at a good price. I don't have a PA yet and would probably add one or two if his price is nice.

Put me on the list too. I've handled too many to pay what most ask for one but if the price says he wants to move some product, I wouldn't mind having something in the glove box that I don't have to buy special ammo for.

I know that the Makarovs are the prefered pistol here, but don't disregard the PA-63 guys. It is one heck of a pistol in my opinion. I like it just as well as my EG Makarov. Smooth shooting and well made too. It conceals better than the Makarov too.

A couple of guys in my office carry them for backups in ankle holsters. More punch than a PPK and lighter, too.

He sold 3 today, so he won't be marking them down low enough anytime soon.

I was going to get one until the ammo thing.
A couple of the 5-6 that I handled had decent D/A triggers, that suprised me.
I still ain't fond of the aluminum feed ramp.
These pistols are ok , but IMO it ain't equal to the Mak.
