Yes while fireing my safty lever on my sar-1 creeps up slowly. It appears to be tight, because it rubs the reciver when moved in either direction. Perhaps it needs to be tighter, (ie) bent in more or ? What do u fellas think. Thanks.

How weird. When the safety is off, does the dimple on the safety (what scratches the receiver) fit into a dimple in the receiver down towards the trigger guard? That's what's supposed to keep it from creeping back up.

yes it fits in the dimple and rubs the side of the reciver. It only seems to do this while fireing at high rate (ie) bumpfire. Maybe it is just all the recoil? Not sure though. Thanks for reading. gunbuff out!

Well, I'd say you gotta either take the safety out & bend it so it's got more tension, or quit bump firing.

Say, you want to explain how to bump fire? Read about it & heard about it, vaguely know what it is, but don't know how to do it.

You might want to try deepening the dimple in the safety lever with a prick punch and hammer. The dimple may be too shallow to catch in the receiver recess.
