While under rapid fire (bump-fire) my sar-1 misfires (light primer strike) about every 10th round or so. I had a Bushy AR that did this same thing and never did figure that 1 out. Traded it off! There is slight wear on the front side of the hammer face. This does not seem to be enough to be causing the promblem. I have never had the bolt and pin apart. All springs seem to be in place. It only seems to do this while bump-fireing. Any comments welcome and thanks 4 the help!
Sounds like your disconector is'nt engaging
the hammer on cocking, are they stock internals? modified in any way?

It DOES sound like the hammer is following the carrier (disconnector not engaging). This can be dangerous - you might want to have it looked at by a smith.
Not all that uncommon for SAR U.S. internals to be crap, you can replace them with better quality aftermarket parts from FSE, or I think maybe Blue Ridge. It's easy to do, and do it soon like trotsky said it can be dangerous,as in an out of battery discharge.

All internals R stock and unmodified. I also have never had internal fire control group out of this gun.

This was weird. The first round I fired from the SAR-1 the powder(or whatever the word is) ignited but the bullet and case didn't seperate and stayed in the chamber and the action didn't cycle. It sure smoked alot thought. I got that bullet out and stuck it in the ground. What is this called?
Sounds like a squib load, little or no powder in the case,it DOSE happen with factory loads. Your lucky it was to weak to cycle the action, bullet get's stuck in the barrel, you don't notice a weak ejection then fire another round in quick succession, and gun go boom.
