another sks question

this is the Romanian sks, seems that the gas piston gets stuck in this position.just letting it fall down and it gets stuck.(pic below)I have not shot it yet. my yugo does not get stuck at all. I was just wondering if I need to do anything before I take her out.it's crystal clean inside and the piston looks almost new.
any idea's

thanks that's all I wanted to know. it looks like it gets stuck at the taper on the end of the gas piston.

you don't have all the pieces of the puzzle there either. When the gas slams that sucker back against the short piston it aint going to get stuck anywhere. The spring on the short piston has enough tension to rocket the piston out across the room and that same pressure is going to bring the long piston forward on the return. It will be nothing like what you're doing turning it upside down.

The tube's are shaped differently on the Yugo vs other SKS.

1. Mine does the same thing when I turn it upside down, but when I fire it, it sycles just fine. try to shoot it first, before you purchase another. Mine worked fine on the range.

I'm going camping and shooting on Feb. 16.
I have a lot of weapons to shoot.
I like when hunting season is over with I can go to a friends hunting property and go shooting at there range
