Redstar,
Is the Ishapore longer than the other two? I would like to get one of those too, I have a severe case of Enfieldmania lately.:D

Yeah, just a tad, I think it's from the buttplate because the stock is essentially the same as the #1.
They're really neat rifles, and you get the 12 round mag and .308 which is cool.
They're a little bulkier and heavier than the English #1's
I don't know of anyone who has these right now though :(

1. Heres my #4 just refinished. I have to steelwool the stock a bit to get the shine down.

Looks good, Neilwest. Did you re-do the metal too?

They just don't look right without the mag. :(
REDSTAR, I don't know the exact weight of a loaded 2A, but it sure feels a lot heavier than a No.1 in .303. The difference between mine is - in my mind anyway - very noticable.

I think the barrels are a little beefier on the Ishapore .308 Enfields. This round is a little bit hotter and higher in average pressure than the .303 round, so the thicker construction.
