Went to the Roanoke, VA show today as it snowed yesterday and I didn't make it out. Not much to speak of. Say a M91 that someone had painted in a black and white speckled pattern over the whole thing, $60.00. Almost got it just to either restore it or put it out of it's misery. Saw several of the LN, M38's. Wasn't too impressed. Didn't care for the shitty high gloss finish. Several had handguards that were way off color from the stock. Metal finish was 90%+. There were some M91/30's that had the cosmo stripped off with something like Purple Power. The dried out looking stocks were a turnoff. I think they'd sell better greasy. At least you get some idea that way of figure in the stock. Price on the M38's was $149 IIRC. Say one M96 for $250. The creme de la creme was an arsenal refinished MAS 49/56 for $525.00. I was just itchin for the guy to give me the low down on it. I was gonna rip him a new one but figured, no es mi trabajo. I did point out to the wife that the guy must not be gettin any at home cause he was sure lookin to screw someone here.:D Some Yugo SKS's, G-G+ for $200 something, finish wear and crap stocks. Did grab 20 en blocs for the Garand @ .75 each (brand new). By the by, SAR1 was $349 and WASR coversions were $329. Did see a camo painted Hi-Point Carbine. What a killin machine that was:p But then a gunshoe attended is better than a gunshow missed. Night all.
