Well, from what I heard about these Swiss guns, I could tell they were my kind of rifles.
Quality made, accurate, and they shoot non-corrosive ammo.
I bought 2 of the "Nice" ones from AIM, and 960 rounds of the GP-11 ammo.
I hope the extra $$$$$ for the nicer guns is worth it!!
$700 just like that!! That's what those bastards get for taking so long on my AR15!
HA!! That'll show em!

Shawn Ya think? ;) They have you by the 'nads, man.
Damn it all to hell, I am having the same problem. I keep promising myself that I'm going to save for a new house, but there are just too many guns and electronic gadgets out there to buy!
But I can quit any time I want. Really.

HA!! That's what I'm letting them think.... but since they think that I'm a fool, I'll keep acting like one until I'm broke! Then they won't get ANY more money! HA!!

I only buy guns with cash, but it really slows down the collection.

Shawn you are a trip! (Smirk):p
On the bright side, just about all the regs have a K31 now. Perhaps we can get the postal match going this spring for K31's.

That sounds good.
I can photograph or scan targets. When/if we do it, I volunteer to post the results.

Isn't a K31 a bit inefficient to go postal with?
I mean that bolt slows you down...;)

Well, after my "sniper" grade 7.62x54r fiasco, I don't want to be caught short holding a rifle that is begging for ammo I can't buy.

 Shawn, spend some money and get into reloading. Then you won't have to be dependant on supplies of rare ammo like that Match Grade 54R. I have a little of the GP-11 but plan on reloading for it as the source for most of my range ammo. The GP-11's are mostly for historical reasons in the collection. I'm loading up my strippers and then the cartridge boxes I have for the K31. Fills out the package so to speak.;)

Is GP11 reloadable?

Sorry I worded that badly. The GP-11's are berdan primed and yes you could reload them but the metric primers are very pricey. I should have said I plan to reload for the K31 rifles. I've got some of the FNM ammo with boxer cases to use for that. Oh, a buddy of mine has been reloading .284 brass for his. He claims the only thing you have to do is expand the neck I.D. with a .30 cal. expander ball and then load em up. No trimming required he says, good function in the weapon too.
My point was get into reloading and with some reloadable brass you can make as much accurate ammo for your unsual C&R weapons as you want. Then you won't be at the mercy of the market place to supply top end ammo for your Mosin's or the K31, etc.

srv-
The guys at the Swiss Rifles Forum have an order going for Swiss brass right now (although I think they hit their 10K limit for this order).
INDEP is reloadable, but apparently not high on the quality scale.
GP-11 is berdan therefore a PITA to reload.
What the SRF guys are doing is ordering Swiss (match I think) brass to reload. I plan on getting in on the next order.
$92.50 for 250 plus UPS shipping or 500 for, well, they deleted that bit of info when I just went back. I think 500 was $180-185
plus UPS shipping.
Now to find a 7.5 reloading set...all I have is scattergun stuff.
