I was just thinking....(Always Dangerous Thing)
I know that folding out the bayonet on my M44 will change the POI, so is this true for ALL weapons with a bayonet? Has anyone noticed/tried to test this? Just the oddball question of the day...

Yes usually it does affect the point of impact of the rounds. My one Garand shoots better with a MkV bayonet attached than detached with one type of surplus .30-06 ammo I have. Results vary depending on the weapon and the size of he bayonet and how it attaches. The MK V for example hangs off the gas cylinder on the M1 so it does not directly touch the barrel.
