While giving my yugo sks a good cleaning I found built in night sites that still glow check your gernade launcher theres a little tit at the bottom flip it up then look at your front sites and flip them up let me know if any of you also find these. also I found out at the range the button that pushes in and flips to the left to erect the gernade launcher if left in the middle position turns your sks into a single shot to hold your empty brass in the chamber until you manualy cock the bolt back.

I also found some triangles with the # 1 in them did the east german boarder guards ever use these?

Well I hope this does not sound dumb but I am easly excited when it comes to new finds on my guns. :)

pro2nd the reason this gadget works is it cuts off the gas. When a grenade was attached you used a blank to fire it.This was done one grenade at a time hence why it leaves the brass in the chamber. If I were you I dont think Id fire mine that way.It was intended to launch grenades. If Im wrong someone please correct me.LOL

I think all yugo's came with night sites.

the night sites are just like the Trijicon (SP)
Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen. It is an odorless, tasteless, colorless gas that reacts with the human body in the same manner as natural hydrogen. Beta rays from the tritium hit phosphors to create the glow you see. Tritium has the half-life of 12.5 years, which means in twelve and an half years the tritium will be half as bright as it originally was.
