ITS F#$&*ING AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Its like a whole new gun!

this was my first attempt at rebluing. It went better than I expected. I thought I'd be running to my gunsmith all teary eyed. But I did it and it looks great, Ill post pix when i get them,

I just got a $13 kit, and it was really easy. It was almost like magic how the old bluing just disappeared and the new came back so nicely. I am looking forward to doing a couple more of my rifles. Fast, fun and rewarding... not to mention spending good quality time with your guns:D

Who's kit did you buy? I have had pretty good luck with the cold blue touch up, but have not done anything too extensive.

Sounds like you did the entire pistol.

Yeah i did the whole thing, inside and out. I used the Birchwood-Casey kit, it was like $13 or so.

Had some problems after, I noticed more pitting on the slide so I thought I would use my Dremel and smooth it out... except I grabbed the wrong bit and really scored the shit out of it.

I took it (the slide) to work with me today and my manager and I got it pretty much fixed and then I went over it with some 150 grit sand paper... the once more with 220 grit. then I smoothed it all out with a wire brush - Dremel. Just now finished the blueing for the last time hopefully with this gun anyway. It looks really nice... a lot better than what SOG considers to be "excellent"...

I reccomend it, blue everything you have... I am full of shit, but I was really impressed with it. I am going to do the SKS next.

the kit came with, Blueing paste, cleaner-degreaser, rust & blue remover, 2 steel wool pads, three swabs, two sheets of sandpaper, two pre-oiled napkin things.

$12.99 @ BI Mart.... Or GI Joes, or Big 5 whatever you have in your area.
