YOWZA!!! Guns at my doorstep! I love America!

Here's the twins:

http://www.student.smsu.edu/s/srv656s/k31-1.jpg

They are both in great shape, One has slightly nicer wood and bluing, but both have between 85-95% bluing and look fantastic. I looked down the bore of one, but it was greasy and nasty (good! because it means it was stored properly), so i couldn't tell if the barrels were still crisp.

The ammo is neat! The GP-11 has to be the prettiest ammo I've ever seen. It's shiny, and new looking.

Here's the 7.5 swiss next to some 7.62x54R-51-and 39. I think it actually looks bigger.

LOVE THESE GUNS!!

Those look very nice. The bottom looks better nowIMO but I believe the top one will be the more outstanding of the two when they're are cleaned up. I believe I can detect a little tiger striping in the forearm/handguard area. They are both really nice though. I guess I'll have to move that one up a notch or two on the ole Wish List. Damn digicams, damn them to hell. Pictures on this site and others have cost me more hardearned money than any copy of Shot Gun News ever has.:D

I just noticed that the finger groove on the one looks to be directly under the rear sight but the other rifle has it to the rear of the sight more towards the butt?

Looks like one is a K-11 stock and the other is a K-31 stock.

The grooves are offset. It makes for a good feel if you are right handed. if you are left handed, it would probably suck.

Now that I didn't know. Seems kind of odd but hey the Swiss must have had their reasons. I didn't see how exactly they could have used a K-11 stock as the action is longer than the K-31 but the left side groove is in the same spot as the right side on a K-11. Go figure. So much for my accute powers of observation:rolleyes: Do like them though. Pretty fool having firearms delivered to your door isn't it? Be sure and give the BBT driver a reach around from time to time. It'll keep him and you happy.:p

Nice.

Cole Distributing stated in an email that they will be getting more special select quality k31s in about a month.

Will probably pick up 2 from them at that time for the price...only thing is they include stripper clips and ammo while Aim includes sling and muzzle cap.

Sling would be nice and dont know who is selling them sparately yet

Do the Aim guns come with a stripper clip, and does the K31 need it to fire?

No the AIM rifles come with a muzzle cap (which i already misplaced dammit) and a sling.

You can load the rifle from the top quite easily. I just cycled 6 rounds through mine. Smmmmoooooooth action.

Thanks Redstar. The K31 is next on my list!

Load it with loose ammo from the top! Heck I squeeze the mag release and pull the mag to reload outside the weapon, that's even easier. ;)

BTW, the strippers are not too sturdy. I don't know how long one could last if you baby it. But they are just resin soaked and pressed brown paper and a lip of tin coated mild steel that is quite soft. There are 4 tabs that are bent over to retain the ammo. If you didn't bend these over too far they might hold up for quite some time. You can flex the body of the stripper enough to slip in the rounds without having to bend them much if any to get the rounds in. Yet they will retain the rounds, all be it somewhat loosely.

I didn't have one of those on either gun... Was it in the box perchance? I'll have to go up to the attic now....

You might call and ask if they are supposed to come with them but IMO it's luck of the draw.

To rub it in the one I kept from a shippment did have the muzzle cover and the sling! LOL! :D
