I'm waiting on my 400rd order from the CMP, $99.00 delivered. In the mean time I'm anxious to get out to the range with my M1. Classic Arms has Talon 30.06 for $70 per 250rds, (if they aren't out of it)+ delivery which is about $8-$10 to my house. WG&A has brass boxer on browning links in sealed tins @ 240rds for $48.99 or 480rds for $89.99 delivered as well as European N/C, boxer, brass cased @ 220rd for $59.99 or 440rds fro $109.99 shipped. I have heard the Talon is good stuff using reclaimed components but does anyone know anything about the stuff on the links or the European? The CMP is moving their ammo to Alabama and it may be weeks before I get that order. Are the links hard to remove and is anyone buying them? TIA

Redstar knows a good technique for removing ammo from links, I think he might have learned it from 8dDuce.

I am lucky enough to still have around 400 rounds of good American M1 Ball ammo (made in the '60's) on enbloc clips that I got straight from The Govt when I used to shoot at Camp Smith.

I wish I could get some more. :(

I have 12 cases of 30-06 in enbloc clips from the DCM, now called CMP. The cases that I have opened all contain machine gun ammo in clips. I can see where at one time these were linked. It's good plinking ammo. It most likely is MG ammo for overhead fire only.
