I would like to pick up a jungle carbine one day. I hear they kick like a mule!

i'm thinking about getting a #5. were those used during the war ?
since it is a shorter barrel does it throw a large muzzle flash like an m44 ? who has the nicest now ?

1. Century has them now at $199.00 and yes they kick like a mule, They have a flash suppressor because of the short barrel. It is my favorite Enfield to shoot

2. They are WWII issue for the Pacific Theatre. The Aussies used them and had their own homegrown version. The ones Century has are from an old Arsenal from an old English Colony. They need work but are well worth it. It is also getting hard to find excellent and VG ones. Mine was pretty dinged up and took a lot of work.
