I got lucky at a local gun show yesterday...a guy had a couple E. German Maks for sale...in what I'd call excellent condition. Just a bit of holster wear. I don' t think they had been shot but a couple times. One was a 1961 and the other a 1962.
I did not plan on buying two certainly don't "need" two, but one must remember, a person can NEVER have too many guns.
He gave me a bit of a break on the pair. I just "happened to have a copy of my C&R in the 'ol back pocket...right next to the cash.
Shot them both after the show, nice...very nice triggers on both. Also a much nicer fit & finish than my commercial Russian. Now I'll figure a way to trade into a nice Bulg. Mak and a Russian Military and my hunt(s) for Mak's may be complete...nah!
