What is a Yugo 39?
Since your rifle is a POST-BAN, aren't you asking about double the going price for these things? Unless by 39 you are talking about one of the .308 heavy barrel things.
Regards,
Mike
I selling for what I paid for it. Expensive??
39 is 7.62x 39. I have all the Mitchell Arms surplus parts, since I used to work for him.
This m-90 is from my personal collection and hand selected....the wood is perfect. The NIB Valmets we have are not for sale at this time but the parts are of course. Pre ban Yugos are 1,500 plus for the rifle itself...1,550 included the scope and mount and thats not even making a dime on it.

Uh, AKEXPERT, I guess you haven't heard that you can get an AK for $300.
Not a Valmet or a Galil for sure, and I'm unaware that a Yugo is in that same class of firearms. Maybe so, but for a POSTBAN in what sounds like an illegally assembled pre-ban configuration, you'll be lucky to $450 these days.
You missed your chance a couple of years ago.
Valmets are going for a little over a $1000 these days and they are definitely finer weapons than the Yugos.

Mike

I rate the Yugo in the same class as the Galil and Valmet; to say a Valmet is definitely a better rifle is a matter of personal taste or just nitpicking over various features. For example, one could say that the Galil and Valmet have better sights, but on the other hand they don't have an adjustable gas system, which is a great feature of the Yugo weapons.
As for AKEXPERT's prices on the Yugos, they are in line with what I see in my area, but I have heard of much cheaper prices in other parts of the country.
AKEXPERT - According to info I've seen posted by others on the '89 ban and the Nov.'90 signing of the law,it's not clear about the legality of the Yugo as pertains to original configuration(pistol grips,folders,etc.).Having worked for Mitchell,do you have any info that could shed some light on this subject? Thanks.

You must really like all the post ban crap seems you have to mention the cheap clones in every one of your post's.Some people would actually rather have a quality weapon. You need to stay in the misr and sar section I bet people their would really appreciate you input. L8R
Sidefolder and M77b1...Thank you for your support....to Valmet 76.....I am a Dealer and Distributor...I have 22 NIB Valmets not for sale at this time. I will e-mail you when appropriate. As for the Yugo's...post ban pre ban who really cares other than a collector...all of them are nice.
I have hand selected rifles, and will not start debating legality of what you have not seen or been aware of so far. I like all of them.....here is the point...buy all and put them away and then you may make any comments accordingly...until then stick to the Valmets and Romanians that you own. My price is for beautiful rifles from my personal collection. I am charging exactly what I paid....plus all new and in the box. The guns you mentioned for $300.00 I would not even give you for your birthday. I guess you are in a league of your own? Valmets then Romanians...you need a galil and a yugo desperately....just kidding of course. I have parts, scope and mount for the Yugos'.

It's supposed to have some "accessories" and at least 3 new mags with the rifle. All original stuff is supposed to be included including the box.
I'll let you know next week if it was worth it.

Mike

Valmet M76,
I have to go with AKExpert on this one 1000% At the latest show, (today) another Yugo M-90 with a price tag of over $1000.00. Where do you live that Yugo's are only worth $300.00? In Ohio the prices are no where near that low. Since March when I first became aware of the Yugo AK variants, I have seen six of them in person for sale. Here's the breakdown: 4 regular 7.62x39 M-90's @ $1350, $1500, $1650 & $1250 and 2 heavy barreled (20") RPK types w/bipods for $2200 and $2500. The first $1350 one I bought for $1150 and the $2200 RPK was had for $2000 (with 100 rd Russian drum. (I also figure in a premium value because of the private sale status) I would also like to add that every time I see a Yugo on the net for under $1000, it was snapped up faster than a fat lady grabbing an oreo. http://www.ak-47.net/akcgi/biggrin.gif I also feel that the under $400.00 guns fall into the "get what you pay for" class. There was a SAR-1 at the show that a dealer wanted $375.00 for. The wood sucked, the receiver was so heavily painted you could hardly read the importer's name, and the bolt was not chromed (looked like just plain steel) I wouldn't beat a dog with it. These guns fill the niche market of low to no budget individuals. And there is nothing wrong with that at all! Just don't try to tell us that they are good guns and Yugo's and pre-bans are overpriced.

Maybe so, but for a POSTBAN in what sounds like an illegally assembled pre-ban configuration, you'll be lucky to $450 these days Show me the $400 source and I'll place a large order. It's obvious that you have never seen a Yugo next to a MISR-able MAADI or a SAR(RY)-1. There is no comparison!! It's like saying your ugly sister is as good looking as a beautiful model. Ain't gonna happen. Also, I saw a NIB Valmet 76 today for $1500. IMHO, ugly black plastic gun with superior sights compared to all other AK's. Butt ugly X 2! The quality of the receiver finish was NO better than either of my 2 Yugo's. This is really not a slam to you, but I've got the 2 Yugo's and a Norinco 84s pre-ban underfolder. and the under $400 guns are shit when placed side by side.to these AK's. There is a huge difference in quality that the extra money buys.

I'll tell you what, I'm really starting to feel lucky that I got a Yugo mak-90 for $575.
I haven't looked at Yugo rifles in years. The last ones I saw were heavy-finned barrel jobs, not something I was interested in.
Heck, if this MAK-90 shows up in its described condition..NIB with original box, all accessories and 3 extra mags, I just might sell it to you for $950.

Mike

AK expert: Do you have Yugo P-grips for sale? I might be interested. email me (I'm listed). Yugo grips are the odd, quasi-FAL types that fill up bigger hands, right?

Sometimes u get lucky..I scored a Yugo RPK, that is an M90 w.the bipod, night sights, and the muzzle wasn t tacked shut for 900 out the door..I now have four. THe m76,Reg AK in x39 a 308 one, and now the RPK..I do think of all the commie type made AKs the Yugos are the beefiest of all..I m also quite partial to the Chinese., and have scored cheap post ban Polytechs for $199!!
Now I scored some super good prices on post bans in 1996 when the madness of the 94 AW bill passed and all the distributors dropped their prices..Got an SA93 for 299. I do think now that these new type pre ban type are coming out some of these prices on the Bulg, and Hung, may come down..But where in the heck are you gonna get Yugos, or Chinese AKs anymore? I doubt we ll see these ever again which is a shame....

Valmet M76,
Mak-90? That's a $575 Chinese gun, not to be confused with an M-90 made in Zastava,Yugoslavia. Can't confuse them in a side by side comparison. The only similarity is the 7.62x39 round.
Louie, Both my yugos are not tacked at the muzzle brake. It seens that they pulled the spring and put in a spacer so the pin can't be pushed back. The only way to expose the threads is to driftpunch out the pins on the front sight mount and remove the lock pin in the muzzle brake notch.
