The fat teak wood grips on the Mitchell imported Yugos ar the same as the standard grip used on the Yugo M76 sniper.

I've been wanting a Yugo for a while now but as I peruse the ads on the net, I get confused as to the model types. Can somebody give me a rundown on what model number is what type, chambering, barrel length, etc. Nothing really detailed, just something to give me an idea what I'm looking at and what I'm looking for.

What I'd like is a Yugo 7.62x39 RPK with the finned barrel, or a .308.

I'm familiar with the 7.62x51(.308)standard rifle,so here's a little info:

The standard .308 rifle was made by Zastava in Kragujevec,Serbia,Yugoslavia and was called the M77B1.Mitchell called it Ak47. Rifles in customs in 1989 were renamed M90,thumbhole stocks installed, and released for sale in 1994. Barrel length is 19.6". Receiver is RPK type with 1.5mm.thick sheet metal. Wood is teak. Factory flash suppressor, three position adjustable gas system, and scope rail on receiver. Flip up night sights were removed from some M90 rifles,as was bayonet lug. Some M90 rifles also had the flash suppressor permanantly fixed to muzzle threads.
