Would prefer original, but have heard of $5.00 US made copies.

I've got one on the way from MSG right now; will post a report on it when it arrives.I've been warned that the MSG stock sets are crappy, but if the grip is a POS I've only blown $5 plus shipping.

This is patterned after the original military or just the straight black plastic as seen on the Maadi and SAR? cya

MSG offers both thick and thin profile Yugo pistol grips. The thin profile ones are like the Yugo military pattern.

Got the grip from MSG yesterday; very quick service. Got the thin and the thick just for the hell of it. Installed the thin grip;it is indeed a faithfull copy of the authentic Yugo military black plastic grip, complete with gripping grooves and a subtle relief for the (right) thumb. Looks and feels great(the fat teak grip is a little too large for my average size hand). Fit is acceptable; looks like it should be a few milimeters further forward, but it's not enough to bother me (and I'm real perfectionist about crap like that). My rifle's a shooter,so the real test will be how it holds up under fire; I'll keep you posted on that.

I need dimensions or a good closeup pic of a yugo grip (fat ahnd groove type) for a model. I am going to attempt to make one for myself. Can anybody help me?

It would probably be easier just order both grips from MSG to use as models; only $5 each and delivery was fast. The plastic version of the fat grip matches the dimensions of the original teak grip perfectly.
BTW- Don't wait for my report on how the thin plastic grip holds up under fire. The teak looks so good since I varnished it that I've put the wood grip back on the rifle.Sorry.

I bought my repro black Yugo from Ace Ltd. - very nice. Maybe these are the same ones made by MSG - I dunno but it's not bad.
