Ok, along with the M44 I purchased a Turkish Mauser yesterday. All I knew is that it was Turkish, and a Mauser LOL. Ok so I found out it was an M1938 cause of the marking at the tip of the barrel. It was made in 1940, but after reading some other websites, I found out that it might not be made in 1940, in fact, it could have been made during or before WWI. I REALLY would like to know this. Does anyone have any idea how to find this out? Thanx

Hello Joker,

I have a Turk dated 1944.Theres another model Turk out there which I think would be cool to have. The M1946.Its simular to a M1938 only the barrel is a tad shorter,It has a bent bolt, and theres a sling slot cut into the buttstock like kar98's.Been searching for one and only came up with one person who has one so far.

Regards,
