I have a new AK-variant carbine that came with the front sight post essentially even with the top of the front sight housing.
I had planned to go to the range and zero the weapon at 100 yards this weekend, but it never happened.
I am scheduled to go shooting next weekend with some friends to a "gravel pit" type place with no known distance range.
Is there a "mechanical zero" procedure that I could use to approximate a 100 yard zero? By this I mean either a number of rotations or some measurement of the front sight post relative to the front sight housing.
I am only concerned at this point with elevation since it the windage adjustment seems to be centered.
Thanks,
JAW
