View Full Version : .308 Valmet mags

I have access to 4 new .308 Valmet mags, and was wondering how to tell if they're factory. I think they're for the M76 or Hunter series. They're 20 rd capacity, have stainless follower and spring and floorplate with rectangular ribs. Floorplate and follower look like HK-91 items. Have milled AK type front and rear locking latches. The mags also have no reinforcing along the sides or feed lips like the .223 mags. Do these sound like factory mags? Did anybody make any aftermarket mags for the .308 Valmets? What would these be worth if anybody wants to buy them? I also know they're not Yugo mags, as they don't fit the Yugo (they're a fraction too wide)

Factory Valmet 76 .308 mags (not conversions or Galil mags) sell for $150-300 each. The average price is $200. If you can get them for $100 apiece, then I say buy as many as the seller has.

apologies, but another gentleman contacted me ahead of you and bought two of the mags.
I have two left. Both brand new, never a round loaded. Other experts have also said market rate is $200 each. I have 2 left that I will part with for $245 shipped. Or will consider straight swap for two new Valmet factory .223 mags, or two new Tromix mags per .308 mag. Either way, its well below market rate.
