View Full Version : Which 8x57 ammo is right from my Mauser

The most plentiful ammo at the moment is the 150gr +/- . I understand that this is the correct bullet weight for the T38 Mauser. Is this the same for the 98/29 Persian? What about the K98, M24, M48, etc? Which ones are supposed to use the 196gr rounds? Inquiring minds want to know.:D

Turk S bullet ammo at 155 gr. weight projectile is for the Turk 38's as their sights are regulated to it.
All the other model of rifles have rear sights that are regulated to the 198 gr. sS heavy bullet that replaced the lighter 155 gr. bullet. All your other 8 mm rifles you listed are designed for the 198 gr. bullet AFAIK, including the Persian. Got a buddy with 3 of them and he shoots that bullet type in them all the time.
