Whats the hole on the front of the m48 bayo frog for? It's in the middle of the wide piece that the sheath slips into, below the strap that closes with the stud.

That is where the tong on the scabbard goes through.
Thats what I thought at first but how the hell do you get it to fit? Looks way to tight to me.

Its a tight fit but its supposed to be.You dont want to lose it while running around the battlefield!
