I ordered a synth stock set, 30 rd mag, and the parts to slap a compensator on my SAR2... no problems at all with the order or the shipment.

What parts did you need to install your comp? Considering going the Romanian threaded FSB + comp route on a future project. If this is what you did, a parts list would help me out a bunch!

Thanks.

I have all the stuff, but haven't gotten around to putting it on yet. I don't have the tools, and the gun shop in town said they'd put it on for $50, but they said I'd have to leave it with them for 2-3 weeks. I asked if I could just bring it in in 2-3 weeks when they know they can get to it, but they said no way. I ended up with the US stock set, an extra mag, compensator, front sight block, plunger pin, plunger spring, plunger catch pin, and the two pins that hold the FSB in place on the barrel.

#AK-141 COMPENSATOR ~ Original Romanian AKS-74 Chromed, with 22mmx1.5 Threads. $34.99

#AK-167 FRONT SIGHT BLOCK ~ ASSEMBLY (Original Romanian AK-74) with 22mmx1.5 Threads. $44.99

When I called, the middle eastern dude on the phone basically told me what I needed. I ordered these two things and he told me which pins and springs and stuff I needed to go with it all. I don't remember seeing this at the time:

#AK-167B FRONT SIGHT BLOCK ASSEMBLY ~ for AK-74 Bulgarian, incl. Plunger Pin, Spring for Plunger Pin and Retainer for Plunger Pin with 24mmx1.5 Threads. $69.99

I ordered the US stock set to maintain my legal parts count since I went with the foreign made comp. The guy gave me a small break (not brake) on some of the items when I asked about the price, too. There is also a site floating around out here somewhere that details how to install this stuff, but I no longer have the shortcut saved... maybe someone else can help you out with that.

Huh, look what I just found:

and here's that site:

Good luck.

I shipped my gun to Arsenal USA/ Global trades for the install of the threaded FSB as getting the old FSB off can be an absolute bitch and I didn't want to damage my barrell. They did it for thirty dollars plus shipping and turned it around in a week.
