Gun alert after girl injured

Warnings about the use of BB pellet guns have been issued by police in Worcester after a young girl was shot in the face and hip.
The schoolgirl, who has not been named, was left with red marks on her skin after the prank involving a boy aged about 11 or 12-years-old.
She had been playing in an alley between Tintem Avenue and Green Lane, Worcester, at about 4.30pm on Saturday when the incident happened.
Police today appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward by telephoning 01905 723888.
