These were the 98/22's for $89.87-- very good's.
Both are fine weapons and here's how I'd rate them.
On a scale of 1 to 10
The Swede's are 10's
The Turks are 3's
The Czech's are 8's.
I like'em and am glad I got'em.
The stocks are a good solid fine grained walnut with plenty of shallow dings, which give'em character. No cracks or splits.
They're gonna finish a beautiful natural dark hue.
Bores seem sharp enough at first glance. Not as good a rifling as the Turks, but I think they'll shoot fine.
There is one thing I wonder about and that is, neither receiver has a date of manufacture, as far as I can ascertain.
Learned a little bit more about these dates, checked and found E23 on the left side of both receivers. Which leads me to suspect both were made in 1923.
No numbers match anywhere, on anything.
Bolts fit nice and tight.
They're a proud addition to the collection.
