These were the 98/22's for $89.87-- very good's.

Both are fine weapons and here's how I'd rate them.

On a scale of 1 to 10

The Swede's are 10's

The Turks are 3's

The Czech's are 8's.

I like'em and am glad I got'em.

The stocks are a good solid fine grained walnut with plenty of shallow dings, which give'em character. No cracks or splits.

They're gonna finish a beautiful natural dark hue.

Bores seem sharp enough at first glance. Not as good a rifling as the Turks, but I think they'll shoot fine.

There is one thing I wonder about and that is, neither receiver has a date of manufacture, as far as I can ascertain.

Learned a little bit more about these dates, checked and found E23 on the left side of both receivers. Which leads me to suspect both were made in 1923.

No numbers match anywhere, on anything.

Bolts fit nice and tight.

They're a proud addition to the collection.

You're right!!!!!!

It's kinda like going into the lounge and talking about Heather or going and watching her in living color.

Words become a tease-

So I'm off to start researching what kinda camera to buy. Any suggestions?

Talking digital I assume. Get something that takes "Smart Media" memory. Smart media is like a miniature 3.5" floppy disc only it's about 1 inch by 1 inch by about the thickness of a penny. Smart Media memory chips are about half the price of any Sony Flash or Memory Stick type chips. The Sony's are long and skinny and about the thickness of 3 quarters stacked on each other.

I have an Olympus 440C which is top of the line and about a $850 buck camera. Yes I splurged on it because for once I had enough money I could get top of the line and because it was the only camera with 4.1 Mega Pixel resolution. This makes it the equivalent of a 35 mm camera for up to an 8 X 10 inch enlargment.

Any 2.1 Mega Pixel resolution camera is probably adequate to do 99% of all the stuff most people would want to do with a digital camera.

Make sure it has close focusing capability. Also try and get a camera that can take standard AA type NiMH batteries. Camera should also have a power down feature on it so that the batteries can't be drained 100% if you goof and leave it on.

Avoid a camera that takes a special, can-only-get-it-from-the-camera-maker battery pack. Those will cost big money and you can't just find them anywhere.

There are two types of zoom, real and digital. Digital just magnifies the pixelated image, thus making it grainy. So watch for larger not digital zoom numbers on the camera. The Olympus only has a 3 X optical zoom but a 2 X digital. That's good enough IMO. If I need it bigger I'll walk closer, unless the subject can eat me or explodes! LOL!
