best mak finish?

I don't really want to reblue my bulgie-- what other options do I have? I have a couple of bottles of bl. matte Aluma-hyde II left from my AK refinsh jobs and I'm tempted to redo the Mak with it. How would I go about doing it in a chrome finish if I wanted to do it myself?

What are some nice finishes you fellas have done besides bluing?
