Ok I know I wrote the pic of the week on the Ljungman/Hakim rifles, so I should know what I'm talking about but, I just finally bought one today and its great except I cant get the mag out...I realize it may be fixed so...
1. Is there a trick to getting it out?
2. Is there a trick to depressing the follower with out crushing your thumb (yes this is the first gun to ever make me bleed)

I don't know the answer, but don't break it or loose it whatever you do they cost about $50 to replace.

I figured it out, you have to push the release lever towards the mag after uncliping it. Is that $50 for a new mag?

Numrich's add says 'Replacement blued steel magazine patterned after the original' so I guess its new.
ITEM TD76295 $49.95

The mag release works like that of an AK mag but these mags have a built in front catch on them. To remove a Ljungman or Hakim mag you must squeeze the front catch while squeezing the rear mag catch lever. It's really easy as falling off a log once you know how to do it. I struggled with that for quite a bit before I figured it out. Dooh!:D :D

i also have a ljungmanag 42b.schuetzenman is correct with disasembly-once you do it you will realize how obvious it was.hakim was made from ljungman design so the only difference is caliber as far as mags go.;)

Welcome to the Forums HOLMES. Stick around and post with us.:D
u can make mg13 mags work in the hakims too, probably cheaper then an original. 25 rounds of 8mm makes it one heavy bitch though.
