I purchased 3 M44s from AIM in the last two weeks. I got two cleaning rods and was wondering if you would be so kind as to supply me with a third one. Sure would like to have a third complete rifle, without having to purchase the damned thing somewhere else. Thanks.

Oh, I'm sorry, I was told not to ask for favors (a complete as-advertised product) here. I tried to delete this post, but it didn't work.
Sorry, AIM, I just asked for a complete product. By tomorrow, I probably won't even be a member here, much less a moderator.

if you were told it was a "complete" rifle and you didn't get a cleaning rod you have a right to bitch. sometimes going public is the only way the get whats yours in the first place. i'm sure you called them first.

I simply asked him to call AIM rather than asking for it here in their forum which I'm sure would be easier for all. Those guys don't have time to catch every request on this board.

Simmer down TheBigCA. It seems like you are way over reacting. I too think you have a right to ask for a cleaning rod and the guys at AIM I'm sure will send you one. But as Redstar posts here calling them on the toll free number is far better than waiting for them to swing by this forum. Erik is a sales person and these guys are very busy answering phones and taking orders.
I've delt with a lot of gun vendors and AIM is miles above the rest in customer service. That's why they are so very busy and why they have so many repeat customers. I order stuff every month practically since 98 from these guys and they've never stiffed me or let me down.

Sorry, Schuetz, I didn't think my original request unreasonable.
Let Redstar tell you what I told him last night about AIM. He never addressed any of that while berating me.

1. I just got wind of this. AIM has done me well for all my purchases, the cleaning rod is a important part of the package but I can live without it better then say the bolt assembly. Im sure if you call them on their 800 number they will respond.
2. Chill bro.

BigCA,
You mean to tell me all this crap is going on about this damn cleaning rod and you never even picked up the phone to call AIM about the missing rod? The way it sounds is that they told you to fuck off or something.
Thats bad, I hope you feel like an ass now.

Please everyone, all I ask is you give me a chance before you start calling my mom dirty names. I only check this forum once a day real early. Call me first if you have a problem, then if you do not like my answer come on here and say whatever.
Thank you. There you have it. Give them a call first and I won't get on your ass about it.

TheBigCa, up to right here you are making a perfectly ok request for a missing 3rd cleaning rod.
Sure would like to have a third complete rifle, without having to purchase the damned thing somewhere else. Thanks.

Here is your . . . . error! "wihout having to purchase the damned thing somewhere else." This entire sentense is unnecessary and the use of a curse word is very harsh. Remember these things come wrapped up in paper.
How are they going to know the condition in all aspects of a rifle in a big lot like this? Easy . . . they can't unless they took the time to cut the weapons out of the wrappers.
Then people would complain that "Hey I ordered a rifle in the wrapper, you sent me one out of the wrapper".
AIM process hundreds of orders each day, it would be very difficult to 100% inspect each and every weapon they sell. If they do, expect the prices to go up. Now that would be tragic!
BTW this post is not ment as a flamejob, it's ment to try and get you to understand how your written words are received by a reader. If you'd just said I got 3 rifles and one was missing a cleaning rod, could I have one please. It would have been totally cool and none of the harsh feelings flying around now would have been generated.

I don't care what you post on this forum, so don't get all yanked off like I made some rule or something. If you need a cleaning rod though, the best idea is to call me 888-748-5252 (it's even toll free, hehe). The guns are wrapped in the arsenal paper and it is hard to see if they are complete or not. Call me, we will get you a cleaning rod, I would hate to have you running around with a dirty bore! Please everyone, all I ask is you give me a chance before you start calling my mom dirty names. Hell Erik, might have been me. Who cares. Everybody has their good and bad days. :) I still think my request is reasonable. We won't go there on how your scheduling and ordering should be improved.
Does this mean you're sending the cleaning rod? BTW, the Yugo SKS you guys shipped me is exquisite in every way. Take a look:

You guys do a good job. This rifle, in my opinion, is the best of my meager collection. I'll be back, AIM. You got my address for the cleaning rod. ;)

You made my day, Erik. Sorry about all the pissing match stuff. Personally. I'm embarassed about it.
Glad you like the picture. Next step, I'm scoping her. A great rifle.
Thanks again for sending out the cleaning rod.
A very grateful Carlito's Way thanks you. I'm new to the game, but you guys are my favorite dealers thus far.
Thanks guys, all the above responses are top notch. You're right.
I'm sailing through week 3 no cigs. Wanted one just today. :(
Another thing that topped off my day is TheBigCA is working with Treadhead and his bro 762ACP at the next big Gunshow at the Expo Center, third week of March, Portland, Oregon. Maybe I'll get a chance to do two days this time. A lot of Fun.
Thanks Erik!!!!, especially for the fact that the Yugo had a cleaning rod.
Erik-
I have just recently received my C&R License and expect to become a customers of yours shortly. I am sending a copy of my C&R tomorrow. My question is regarding the Yugo (like TheBigCA's) and the new Albainians, where are these located on your website? How much and how to order? Please bear with this C&R newbie...I'm a quick study and won't need to pester you much more. Perhaps you could e-mail me privately.

Just mail me a ink signed copy of that sucker and you are ready to begin. The Albanians and Yugo SKS's are not on the site and wont be for a couple of weeks. Watch shotgun news and gunlist for full color ads, or check out this sites kick ass SKS forum for info on these guns. Very good to Excellent condition Albanian SKS $269.95ea same gun in good to very good condition $229.95ea, there will be about a week shipping delay as this rifle is really popular now and we are trying to deal with the volume of orders as best as we can. The Yugo SKS is $199.95ea 2 or more at $179.95ea, these will be in excellent condition. Unfortunately, we are out, and wont have more untill the second week of March, but we are taking orders now. We need the lisence before we can take any kind of an order. Look forward to doing business with you guys.

Cool 308, glad you got your license. Get one of the Yugos. You won't be sorry.
We're going to shoot it Saturday at the "Dump". Leaving the AK-47 at home this week.
308, use the Dealer List for cutting and pasting info to your word processor for sending out your FFLs and cover letters to all the dealers you choose.
