Conduct a Search for "C-700" under my name, SKIP. I used a bolt gun to test groups of .223. Hope this helps.

I have use wolf ammo and it shoots fine untill about 300 rds. The green laqure they use too seal the ammo kind of melts off and gums up the receiver and the top of the magazine. You just have to clean it and then it shoots fine again. Nothing special to clean it with just yer normal Hoppes no. 9. I have also used the ss109 ammo from cheaperthandirt.com it shoots good also.

I have two Colt ARs, a 16" 1\7, and a 20" 1\9. The results are different between both rifles. I would ask first, what are you looking for in accuracy? Are you plinking or do you intend to shoot in a HP Match? Unless you reload or purchase match-grade ammo, you are not going to get fantastic results. The rifle is certainly capable of great things though.

My results as follows for the 16" 1\7, open sights on the bench, 100 yards:
1] FED Gold Match 69gr BTHP: 1-2" groups consistently
2] Wolf 62gr FMJ: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers
3] Wolf 55gr HP: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers
4] PMC 55gr FMJ: 2-4" groups consistently with some flyers
5] S&B 55gr FMJ: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers

My results as follows for the 20" 1\9, open sights on the bench, 100 yards:
1] FED Gold Match 69gr BTHP: 1-3" groups consistently
2] Wolf 62gr FMJ: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers
3] Wolf 55gr HP: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers
4] PMC 55gr FMJ: 2-3" groups consistently with some flyers
5] S&B 55gr FMJ: 3-4" groups consistently with some flyers
6] South African 55gr FMJ: 1-3" groups consistently

For me and mine, the results are somewhat similar, but the 16" does better consistently with a heavier bullet and to my great satisfaction, the 20" prefers the S\A 55gr FMJ, which is relatively inexpensive. I hope this helps.

We have found the Wolf 55 grain to work fine, but have had problems with the 62 grain loads, both in semi and FA fire the 62 grain will refuse to extract at times, and the gas system gets gummy as all get out. Both My AR15 and my M17s and Circuits weapons had a bad time with the 62 grain load. But all worked with the 55 grain load, go figger. We did a small test with Dragonofgirls Oly Arms plinker, EvilAdims AK, both my M17s and AR
and severl of Circuits rifles and fired 1000 rounds of the 55 grain Wolf with no problems. I plan on getting a 1000 round order soon.
