Hey,
Is the walnut stock any better.And what type of wood is the standard swiss K-31 made of.:confused:

1. I cant say what mine was, but it almost looked like maple, It had a orange-red tint to it:)

The walnut stocks are a sign the rifles are WWII or earlier. The Birch stocks are the yellow to orgneish colored ones. At least I think it's Birch. They don't have the typical "fish scales" in the grain that one sees in Beachwood.
