I acquired a model 1939 Tokarev pistol that has no safety and is in 90 + % condition with the CCCP grips and a 9mm luger conversion. The man had this for years, probably since WW2.

Price Check? Collectable? Thanks in advance

Sounds like a bring back as IIRC all most imported ones had the safety you mentioned added. What are the markings? You're saying it has been converted to 9x19 and is no longer 7.62x25?

Greetings and back to You. The pistol has numerous little inspection marks on trigger band both sides ,and 2 small ones on the slide release. CCCP, is in the circle around the center star of the grips which are black. C5663 * 1939 left rear .

The pistol is 90%+ blue,not redone as all marks are crisp.
The pistol is 7.62X25 with another extra barrel and magazine for lugar cal 9mm.

the pistol was purchased from an old Vet that served in europeand as you suggested, did bring it back home thru his army post skirting all regs.
Once I figure out how to post a picture,I will do so.

Schuetzenman was nice enough to just gave me a tutorial so I will attempt to do so before long ! Thanks for the welcome and I hope that I can contribute something to the group.

My Specialty is Garands, And 1941 Johnsons so if you need advice I know them both Quite well having collected Garands since 1965 and Johnsons for around 5 years purchasing 3 and aquiring spare parts for everything they have that breaks.

Take care and semper fi,Milt::p
