View Full Version : Cleaning Gas System on MAS 49/56. How Do YOU Do It?

It looks like this is going to be a pain in my ass. I can't seem to find anything small enough to feed in there to swab the inside of the gas tube. There are some pretty creative people on this board. More creative than I. How do you guys clean it? I know someone has to have some slick, million dollar, way to clean this most unreachable spot. Please share with the class.

I spray brake cleaner through the system but I'm not shooting corosive at the moment. You can get really long pipe cleaners at hobby shops or craft stores. They also sell pipe cleaner type things called Mops for cleaning the AR-15. Those should work also.

just put the red tube in the brake cleaner and put it in the gas tube and spray away. it will evaporate away and leave it clean.
I have best results with 3M brake cleaner!!
