NHM-91 Info

I have an NHM-91 serial number 94 000xx. Standard long barrell...hard chrome lined. Threaded muzzle with pinned on muzzle cap. can anyone tell me anything about this AK...when it was made, what a pinned muzzle cap, any other usefull info? All info would be greatly appreciated.

NHM-91 is a MAK-90 stamped receiver with a RPK barrel. The muzzle nut is tack welded.There is a rivet in the receiver at the rear of the mag well to prevent use of mags that are not milled out to clear it. They were imported from 1991-1994. When President Bill signed a execative order banning all importation of Chinese guns and ammo in 1994. The 1989 ban required that all imported AK's have the date of mfg/import stamped on the receiver. NHM-91=imported in 1991 all rifles after that had the year in two digets in front of the serial number. You rifle was imported in 1994.
