i picked this up today. it says , GR under a crown, BSA co (i know this one), 1916, SHT LE III*. as you can see in the crappy pic, my batteries went dead again  (POS radio shack batteries !!!),
its a carbine of some sort. i think its a NA cut down job.
the wood is real nice, the bore is great, and the metal is pretty good. i'm happy with it.
now, tell me what it is, and what about its worth ?

It's a faux jungle carbine made from a No. I MK III of some sort. It's either a Navy arms cobb job or a Gibs cobb job. Sounds and looks pretty well done. What's it worth? What ever you paid for it. Hehehe!:D

thanx. thats what i figured. yeah, i think its worth the $100 i gave for it. this gun has the best wood i have ever seen on an enfield in person.
the sights are better that the no4 for accuracy.

Nice looking carbine. Watch out, if its anything like my No. 5 its going to kick like a mule!

cool, i little kick never hurt anybody. does it throw any flame ?
i wish the wood on my #4 looked as nice as this does.
the bolt head, does it have a headspace # like #4's do ?
the rear sight, it is painted, should it be "in the gray" ?
the paint is coming off and i want to either repaint it or get the rest of the paint off.

I don't know if the rear sight should be painted or not, but I'll tell you that it will probably work a whole lot better if it isn't.

Is it just me, or does that barrel look awful short?
JES, it may not be a true Jungle Carbine, but it sure is attractive!
