Flattop, the fist link below says that Mel is "against" gun control ---
http://www.ompersonal.com.ar/movies/melgibson.htm

The second link mentions how Mel takes his children to the shooting range ---

I didn't think Mel Gibson could have much support for the anti's, With the movie's like The Patriot, Braveheart, and now We were soldiers...At least there is still one good actor left in hollywood!

ya know, as I look at that list, I wonder if it came from the potential list of celebs for the Hollywood Squares. I don't see a bunch of movers and shakers with a few exceptions.

God no ! not Burt! Michael Gross, who played survivalist giant worm ass kicker Burt Gummer in my favorite movie series - "Tremors 1 - 3" is on that list. seeing Burt with his huge arsenal waste man eating worms was a high point of all the films. i almost wonder then if the director of these films is pro-gun then. though Burt comes off as paranoid and a bit loopy at times for comedic effect, he is portrayed positivly in all three films as a responsible gun owner and in the third film he is the main character and the hero. he never once turns a weapon on another person in the film. if the films were made by an anti-gunner then burt would probably be a racist redneck who goes around thretening eveyone, and would be killed an eaten in the end when he assumed his guns would kill the worms when in fact the PC enviromentally friendly scientific solution thought up by themain character - the lovable twenty something rogue and his improbably attractive female scientist love interest dreamed up is what actually was needed. damn you michael gross! Why?

really to me its no surprise theres so many celeb, anti gunners a gun is really just a tool. those same asswipes are most likely anti shovel, and hammer too. to them the whole idea of stardom is to get paid for nothing.

You gotta wonder waht happens to these people when they get famous. A lot of them came from regular Joe backgrounds.

I don't think many celeb's would care either way. When they feel threatened, they can hire armed bodyguards, and we all know that that is perfectly acceptible with a lot of the liberals. As long as WE don't have them.

If you look at this list most of these assholes are dead or thier careers sure are! I just love so-called celebs who think they have to have a cause! If the shit ever hit the fan around any one of them you know they would have someone with a gun nearby! They are the worst hypocrites!

Stop putting these actors and Celebs on a pedistal. They are people just like you and I. Just like your neighbor may be anti-gun your other neighbor isn't. everyone is an individual.

Twisted Cross

You can say don't put them on a pedistal and I don't, but they have acces to the media and I don't. They can sit there in an interview or charity event and spout off whatever anti-gun B.S. they see fit. We have very little we can do to counter that besides educating the people with the internet or e-mail and word of mouth.

The problem with these pedistal barons is there are to many sheeple out there that worship these freaks and hang on every word they say. Look at Oprah or Rosie O'Donut muncher and the amount of housewives that read their books, watch their shows. They use emotion to rule over their masses by saying how sad it is that children have to live in a world with guns. They have no idea that taking away the guns will cause the children to grow up under the barrel of the state's gun.

The celebs and actors do have a direct stream into the media and they are looked at as role models. This could also be a good thing for the ones that believe in our rights. Im not going to sit and guess how many are pro or anti but I'm sure for every slam gun owners get by these celebs another celeb will not be too far away with a rebuttal. Either way, I feel my gun rights are not in any danger. ;)
