Well we have all experienced it, AR jams.
Be it from bad ammo, bad mags, Bolt overs FTE FTF stovepipes,
mags dont fit etc. What was always frustrating to me was never having anyone to help he troubleshoot these things.

Well No More !
Post your AR troubles here and we will put out heads together and draw from our experiance and get you straightened out
and learn a few things ourselves.

The only problems I have ever had with my Bushey pre ban was mags! Other wise it has never jammed! I've had this since 85'!

All of the AR problems I have dealt with on my rifles have been mag related as well.

I have heard however of people having problems with dirty rifles causing jams as well as bad ejector plungers/springs,worn extractor springs crappy trigger parts, out of spec chambers, out of spec bolts, incorrectly installed mag catches, inproper lubrication, Wolf ammo etc.

Kits guns have the most problems in my experience too.
Many people feel PARTS IS PARTS but like every thing else you get what you pay for.

My present AR I built using only Bushmaster parts and other that having to adjust the mag catch I havent had a problem with it.

I have seen some nasty parts guns using cast receivers and crappy parts that wouldnt fire more than 2 shots without jamming no matter what you did to it.

The only problem I have ever had is I grabbed a couple of 20 rd mags to go shooting the other day but accidently got one of my 5 rd mags that looks like a 20 rounder.

there is whoever the exception to the parts kit issue and it must be me,Ive built many weapons from kits ranging from the Fal ,g3 and cetme more than a couple Ak's and most resentley 3 Ar's never not 1 problem with any related to the builder or the parts kits. there was a time when i tried to feed the AR's Wolf 223 and of corse you quessed it jam city . figured that one out for my self, its the salac on the ammo after so many rounds and the weapon gets hot the salac melts and when it cools leaves a residue,I think its good what yall are doing here keep up the great work ! look out for the wolf ammo its cheep but you'll pay for it in head aches .;)

Hey guy i'll have to try that south african ammo i see its very resonible in price thought about it alot, good that you recomended it, say redneck on my hk 91 i used aluminium FAC reciever its really nice but at 1st i thought it wouldnt look real great but the kit was refinished with some type of hard black i think epoxy and it looks great! now when i decided to build the cetme there was no way in hell i was going to use the same reciever,i know with out a doubt it would not look good at all ! and in making clones i want them to look as close to being the real thing as possible, i looked around and found there were a couple of places offering the cetme reciever but they were in most cases around 100.00 bucks more for the cetme over the hk91 so i bought the hk91 stamped reciever from hesse took the dumil to the rear site block cut the hk 91 off and put the sites from the cetme kit on the weapon and it looks great and i saved $100.00 if i can help in any way with anyone projects like such welding as mentioned be glad to help in anyway and thats no charge of corse just pay the shipping and i'll help. also if anyone wants, i have a couple AGI tapes buliding Fal and G3 tape i paid $30.00 there free to whoever wants them so long as whoever passes them on in the same manor pay the shipping and there yours .these are not copies but originals, i only have 3 its the least i can do,for the amount of free info i've recieved here. thanks guy's and take care.;)

well my buddy bought a brand new ar from bushmaster. it jammed about 2 to 3 times every 10 shots. its getting better the more we shoot it. i take this is a common problem. when new. another reason the m16 or ar15 is a political piece of crap. if eugene stoner wasnt so worried about getting alot of money from a government contract. we would have the ak chambered for the 223. that would have worked the first time and gotten noone killed trying to make it work. i will never own one of the pieces of shit myself. over priced and over done. hell the a2's weigh almost as much as the garand if not the same. and weight was one of its sellings points. when it was first made. give me a break.
