Check your headspace. My CDNN yugo-captured K98 was oily but nice looking. However the barrel was heavily pitted and it completely failed a headspace check. I sent it back for a refund.

thats funny, their add says ALL rifles head spaced (or something to that affect). maybe they check head space, but don't corect it if its bad. i don't know.

i got one of them before christmas and it was pretty nice.
but i had to send it back  because of a unrepairable(without looking like a hack job) stock. the metal was pretty nice though.

the replacement was not as good. the metal/blue was not as nice, the wood was cracked a lot, but repairable, the bolt handle was bubba ground to remove the old serial #'s. but the bore is really nice, so it should shoot good.

i cleaned it up real good and repaired the problems (i hope)
while i'm glad to have it, had i known i probably would have waited to find a nicer one somewhere.

i saw a report yesterday on another board describing theirs and it didn't sound as nice as mine.

remember 2 things, your get a very used gun, and they are getting towards the bottom of the barrel on these.
and
if you don't have high hopes you won't be so let down when it shows up looking not as nice as you hoped.

good luck

that the board for not seeing a pic here
