I was going to order a Bulgie Mak from SOG tonight and they were out. Doh! So, instead, I purchased one of the EX Ballester Molina 45s instead. Hope I get a good one.
Anybody got the Maks anymore?

Yup $209. Was listed as EX, so I didn't bother with the handpick. Oh, well, no Mak now, but later. I got my 1911 holster my dad gave me when I was a kid. Need to find it this evening after shooting.

1. Ive been considering the .45 Ballester Molina myself. I love my Makarov and have a few Colts but this one looks like it would be inexpensive and fun.;)

Century has Ballester Molinas for $159 thru march. They are made on Colt 1911 tooling. The earliest ones were made in USA by Colt actually until Colt factory machines were sent to Argentina. A friend of mine is a HUGE Colt collector and told me they interchange parts with 1911s and clips with 1911s. They are a 1911 with a different name on them basically.

Not true, I have two of them and love em. The only thing that is interchangable is mags and barrels, the BM has no grip safety............the colt systemas (sp?) are all interchangable with the colts

The Ballisters were not made on Colt machinery and are completely different internally. You may be confusing them with the Sistema Colt 1927's.

Yes it was the colt systemas that were made on COLT machinery,They are a copy of the 1911.
The Ballisters will interchange a few parts with 1911's mainly the barrel and magazine.
