I picked up a Czech K98. It has the winter trigger guard and was in absolute beutiful condition. Metal 95%-98%. Wood is near perfect condition. What is the history on these?

Well it sounds nice, price seems a little high but with the winter trigger installed probably about on target for current market value. Now if it's not an import marked rifle and you bought it from another private citizen . . . then you did real good.
