Last week i placed two orders...


Ammo from Century
and an Enfield from Springfield Sporters


Neither have shipped yet??? Springfield is shipping two weeks behind and century doesnt ship til after 7-10 days??????

do I have bad timing or are these people always operating this way?

How have your experiences been?
Especially with Springfield... this place seems to be in the middle of nowhere with no website or any computers for that matter.... It doesnt seem reasonable that a company that small would be two weeks behind.

My experience with Springfield is about 8 years ago. They have not modernized their marketing. They are slow to ship, but their grading is usally right on. Some of the best surplus I have bought did come from them.

Century used to be quick at shipping. I would order a rifle or whatever and have it in about 8 days time. Since the 9/11 attacks they have gotten behind to were its taking 2 or more weeks.

For Springfield Sporters your story is SOP for them . . . in other words typical of them. They must be owned by a crusty old fart that is afraid of computers, cause they haven't gotten any in the 5 years that I've been dealing with them. Grading is honest on their weapons. Problem is they seldome have any really good conditin ones.

Century has gotten very slow lately. Probably due to an increase in orders since 9/11. If it takes 10 days for them to ship consider yourself lucky. I'd heard they were taking 4 weeks to process an order.
