Two more came in from Century today.
#1-929XXX Manufactured in 1949
#2-638XXX-1941
One has a patched cracked stock the other's stock is Fine.
Both have mirror bores and don't look like they were ever shot from the looks of the bores.
Both had muzzle caps
Both are perfect for shooters. One has had a lot of tampering with the front sight and neither front sights are aligned with their staking marks.
Both are already cold oxpho blued and blued up like new.
Old greasy sling on one, new sling on the other.
Here's how the 4 manufacture dates work out:
1-638XXX-1941
2-828XXX-1944
3-885XXX-1947
4-929XXX-1949
I requested on my last two orders for Ser #'s from 267331 to 269930, hoping to receive one of the 1958 series, but no luck.
Both stocks are already stripped of varnish,purple-powered and hanging up like gutted hogs, waiting to be sanded tomorrow.
