View Full Version : Russian m44 or Yugo M48...Which one to buy???

i am going to get one but cant decide? the other i will probably order in a week or 2. which should i get first. dont want to have AIM run out. any ideas? thanks !

Although I'm kind of a Mosin-Nagant guy, if AIM still has the Yugo M48s, I think that's what I'd go for. M44s are still relatively plentiful and will probably never be as expensive as a really nice Mauser, so I'd go for the $99 deal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my C&R gets here early and I can nab one of those M48 as well.

I already have a Polish M44 and just ordered a M48A. The Mosin is great and ammo is plentiful and still being made by Wolf among others. Only thing is after fired, it doesnt like to let the shell out of the chamber. I've heard this is common, but an easy fix. I'm soo looking forward to the M48A, though. I like it better and I don't even have it yet.

My M48 arrived(kinda) and I like it way better than the Mosin.

I ordered a M48A in excellent condition from WG&A but got a M48 in very good condition. The bore is perfect,98% blue, the wood is dinged and the inside of the reciever is a little pitted. The gun I ordered and the gun I got were the same price and I'm happy with the one I got so I guess I'll keep it. Besides, that gives me an excuse to order another one:)

I have a Polish M44 and got an M48A recently. I have to say that I, like you, like the M48A better. I'm not sure why. I think it's because it feels well-balanced and cycles nice. It's smooooooothe.

If you have a digital camera, take some pictures and post them--if you can. A lot of people are having trouble with the posting thing.

Order one of each! Ordered a M48A and a laminated M44. Honestly you can't beat the price!
