I heard a rumor from a fellow at the night range last night that somebody is getting ready to release 10,000 more Makarovs into circulation. This guy is a real Mak nut, as he owns five of em.
And, damm they shoot just great. I got a Russian one, so far.

1. Ive just ordered a CZ 50 from Century and looking at pictures on the internet it appears to resemble a Walther PPk. The CZ 52 is more streamlined and rounded in appearance from what I could see.

Neil, I was thinking the same thing. I like the looks but if it is the same dimensions as the PPK, then it'll be too freakin' small for me. Anybody know how big the grip on the CZ50 is?

1. Redstar sent me a post on the CZ 50 and it stated that it was patterned after the Walther PPK and it is a .32 so it is going to be small. I would go with the 52 or maybe a .45 from SOG or Century if your looking for a larger cal concealed carry.

CZ-52 and CZ-50 comparison shot. I would expect the 50 to be Makarov size or slighty larger from that shot.

As of 3 weeks ago, SOG was selling the CZ52 for $119 and the CZ70 for $79. The 70 is an updated version of the 50, but for all purposes nearly identical. I've heard a lot of negatives about the quality of stuff coming from SOG. All I can say is the CZ52 I got was in near new shape. The 70 looks to have about 90% of the blueing. The only flaw I found was the hammer as it seams to sit slightly tilted and rubs the frame. I'll have to tear it apart to see what's up with that. For $79 bucks though I'm glad I got one. It is similar in size to a Mak whereas the 52 is more of a hand full. Also, the CZ70 camewith no import marks (must have slipped through). The import marks on the 52 are barely visible. An added plus.
