While fondling my new acquision from the AIM Special K-31.
I didn't notice any safety(ies) near the receiver or trigger area on the K-31.
Am I correct to say that it is designed this way?
TIA,

No you are incorrect. :p It operates like a Mosin Nagant rifle but it's easier to do than the Mosins.
Stick your finger in the loop of the firing pin and rotate clockwise to line up the lug on the firing pin with the slot in the back of the bolt at 9:00. Then release the firing pin into that slot and you have safetied the weapon.
Bolt disassembly relies on putting the firing pin 1/2 way between the two notches and then removing the bolt from the action. Everything comes apart quite easily once you lift up on the charging / camming handle for the bolt at it's front end and slide it to the rear to remove it from the bolt body.
