1. I used Murphies Wood Soap and a scrunge pad to take the cosmo off. Then I baked it in the oven wrapped for about 1 hour (My wife thought I was nuts). Then I used the first coat of toung oil on it and this is where she stands so far.

1. I wrapped in a rag at 200 degrees for about 45 mins. The rag absorbed the cosmo as it oozed out. Once it cooled down I used medium steelwool followed by 0000 steelwool. This smoothed the burrs out and got rid of the remainder of the cosmo.
2. The pics should be sharpened to show you the better look, but she turned out very nicely.
Neil, I friend of mine fired his this morning and it was a dragon. It's ball of flame was worse that a Nagant Carbine. He was using Yogo boxer primed 6.5 ammo. I didn't get a chance to see the back sight but every time he shot it the leaf would swing back and forth.

I fired the PRVI Yugo ammo out of my Beretta Cavalry Carbine, which looks almost identical to this one, except for the fixed rear sight on mine (since it is a M38).
It will kick you for sure, since it is so light, and will probably spit plenty of fire. But considering how light the carbine is, this would acually make a great gun for camping and such.
